The learned trial judge further demonstrated that she recogizes that in recent years the test for causation has been somewhat relaxed. She referred to Mr. Justice Linden's text, Canadian Tort Law and excerpted therefrom references to Snell v. Farrell (1990) 1990 CanLII 70 (SCC), 72 DLR (4th) 289, wherein Mr. Justice Sopinka said that causation does not have to be proven with scientific precision.
