What is the test for “reasonableness” in the context of a challenge to the validity of a claim?

Alberta, Canada

The following excerpt is from Schwartz Estate v Kwinter, 2013 ABQB 147 (CanLII):

As evidenced by cases such as Re Sedahely Estate, 2005 ABQB 861, affirmed as Popke v. Bolt, 2006 ABCA 338, ‘reasonableness’ can change during the course of litigation. A challenge which started out as being reasonable may become unreasonable as additional facts become known.
