What is a non-commercial host's duty to prevent injury to other parties by failing to prevent inebriated guests from getting into trouble?

Alberta, Canada

The following excerpt is from Wince v. Ball, 1996 CanLII 10414 (AB QB):

I agree that the law may have moved beyond the position in Baumeister v. Drake, to impose a duty upon even a non-commercial host to take reasonable steps to prevent injury to third parties by inebriated guests, especially teen-aged guests. The issue may no longer simply be answered on the basis of whether the hosts provided the alcohol.
