Nor in my opinion can anything be made of the fact the trial judge did not, as requested by counsel for the defence, remind the jury of the similarities between the break-ins at the beauty salon and the occurrence at the Wendland home. His duty, in the words of Kelsey v. The Queen, was "to give a fair picture of the defence, but that does not mean to say that he had to paint in the details or to comment on every argument .…"
