The issue before this court is similar to that outlined in the case of Chouinard v. O’Connor, 2011 BCCA 161, where an application was made after the expiry of a limitation period to allow an amendment to a statement of claim. The original statement of claim had previously been found to limit the claim for negligence in the action to referees at a lacrosse game. The proposed amendment sought to include players, coaches and lacrosse league officials.
