While the registrar is to consider all the s. 71(4) factors there is no requirement to arrive at a fair fee with mathematical precision. The registrar may arrive at a fair fee through a global assessment of the value of the services provided. In Hutchison v. Victoria Golf Course, 2009 BCSC 644, at paragraphs [79] through [84] the court states:
