While the assessment of such an award is not a purely mathematical exercise, courts have recognized that economic and statistical evidence can provide a helpful starting point for determining what is fair and reasonable in the circumstances: Dunbar v. Mendez, 2016 BCCA 211 at para. 21. As such, I will review the expert economic evidence, before valuing the measure of damages for future loss of earnings in this case.
