The occupier’s duty to an invitee as stated by Willes J. in the well-known passage from Indermaur v. Dames (1886), L.R. 1 C.P. 274 at 288, is to “ . . . use reasonable care to prevent damage from unusual danger, which he knows or ought to know”.
