A doctor’s duty is not one of full disclosure in that a doctor is not required to advise the patient of every conceivable risk, no matter how remote. Only those risks that are characterized as special, unusual or material have to be disclosed: Rayner v. Knickle (1991), 1991 CanLII 2752 (PE SCAD), 88 Nfld. & P.E.I.R 214 at para. 59 (P.E.I.C.A.).
