Is it permissible to consider the division of individual assets separately rather than as a group of s. 65 factors?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Patrich v. Patrich, 2014 BCSC 161 (CanLII):

It is permissible to consider the division of individual assets separately, rather than as a group, if that is required in order to apply the s. 65 factors properly: Davies v. Davies, 2012 BCCA 219, at para. 22. In this case the circumstances of the acquisition of the home are different from the factors that are relevant to the division of other property, so a separate analysis of its division is needed.
