The following excerpt is from R. v. Owimar, 2002 BCPC 266 (CanLII):

Section 2 of the Criminal Code defines "bodily harm" as any hurt or injury to a person that interferes with the health or comfort of the person and is more than merely transient or trifling in nature. The term "bodily harm" also encompasses psychological injury: Regina v. McGraw, (1991) 1991 CanLII 29 (SCC), 66 C.C.C. (3d) 517 at 524.
