Does a child's pursuit of post-secondary education constitute a "other cause" for the continuing dependency of a child over the age of majority?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from M.C.D. v D.A.D., 2017 BCSC 1832 (CanLII):

An adult child’s pursuit of post-secondary education may, in certain circumstances, constitute an “other cause” for the continuing dependency of a child over the age of majority: Neufeld v. Neufeld, 2005 BCCA 7 at para. 18. The courts have also considered athletic endeavours and a depressed job market as grounds for an adult child being unable to withdraw from his or her parents’ charge or obtain the necessaries of life: Ethier at paras. 25-26.
