Does the mere taking of an appeal against a judgment against the judgment is binding and conclusive?

Saskatchewan, Canada

The following excerpt is from Boe v. Boe, 1987 CanLII 4793 (SK QB):

However, the mere taking of the appeal against the judgment did not affect its validity, merely its enforceability. It has long been a fundamental rule that a court order made by a court having jurisdiction to make it stands, and is binding and conclusive, unless it is set aside on appeal or lawfully quashed. Wilson v. R., 1983 CanLII 35 (SCC), [1984] 1 W.W.R. 481; 51 N.R. 321, at pp. 502-503 (S.C.C).
