In what circumstances will the court consider the paragraphs in a motion for summary judgment to be a waste of time?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from Children's Aid Society of Ottawa v. M.L., 2009 CanLII 74896 (ON SC):

In terms of the paragraphs being a waste of time, the court explained this concept in Warnica v. Gering, [2004] O.J. No. 5396 (Sup. Ct.) at para. 20 as follows: However any court case is determined, it should not occupy more court resources than it merits. Ideally, it should not eat up more of the parties' resources than is warranted.
