The following excerpt is from Yorke et. al. v. Harris, 2020 ONSC 7361 (CanLII):

To constitute a pecuniary interest, there must be something more than the possibility of future business. The court must consider whether it is probable that the matter before council will affect the financial or monetary interests of the member: see Lorello v. Meffe.
