On the other hand in Crozier v. Cundey et al. (1827), 6 B. & C. 232, 108 E.R. 439, Abbott, C.J., pointed out that where articles were likely to furnish evidence of the identity of items stolen there could be reasonable ground for seizing them even if they were not specified in the warrant.
