Can a servant be held liable for inducing breach of his master's contract with a third person?

Alberta, Canada

The following excerpt is from Wallin v. Scandinavian Janitor's Service (1982) Ltd., 1987 CanLII 3483 (AB QB):

Counsel for the defendants cites Said v. Butt, 1920 3 K.B. 497 as authority for the proposition that a servant will not be liable for inducing breach of his master's contract with a third person, if he was acting bonafide and within the scope of his authority. Since paragraph 13 does not allege that the three defendants were acting mala fides or outside of their authority, he submits it does not disclose a cause of action.
