Is it necessary for a plaintiff to prove that loss of future income is probable?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Baxter v. Jamal, 2010 BCSC 289 (CanLII):

That said, it remains that in pursuing a claim for loss of future income, it is not necessary for the plaintiff to prove an actual loss of income is probable. It is sufficient if she proves there is a real and substantial possibility of such a future loss. (Pallos v. Insurance Corp. of British Columbia, 1995 Can LII 2871 (B.C.C.A.).
