What is the test for character assessment of an applicant at a disciplinary hearing?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Perry (Re), 2015 LSBC 55 (CanLII):

The authorities are also consistent that the assessment of character must be made as of the date of the hearing; in other words, the hearing panel is to consider the applicant’s current character. The test does not require perfection or certainty. (Law Society of Upper Canada v. Schuchert, [2001] LSDD No. 63 at para. 19)
