What is the test for deviating from the table amount under section 3(1)(b) of the Child Support Guidelines?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from McConnell v. McConnell, 2015 ONSC 2243 (CanLII):

The Court of Appeal in Lewi v. Lewi held that there is no formulaic approach to the determination of the appropriate monthly support when deviating from the table amount.[16] Section 3(1)(b) directs the court to consider “the condition, means, needs and other circumstances of the child and the financial ability of each spouse to contribute to the support of the child”.
