What are the consequences of a plaintiff’s testimony in a personal injury action?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Konnert v Buonassisi, 2019 BCSC 1648 (CanLII):

The defendants contend that the plaintiff’s evidence as to the sequelae from the three accidents is at best exaggerated, and should not be accepted. They referred me to the decision of Vienneau v. Dhaliwal, 2019 BCSC 1260, where Mr. Justice Hori described the importance of the assessment of a plaintiff’s credibility in cases where the injuries alleged are inherently subjective in nature.
