What is the quantum of damages for future care costs for a plaintiff who was injured in a motor vehicle accident?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Waters (Guardian of) v. Baird, 1997 CanLII 2119 (BC SC):

I find the costs of future care are entirely caused by the accident, and but for the accident he would have been able to live out his life span without the necessity of relying on a wheelchair, or having special equipment to enable him to drive or go to the bathroom. I do not propose to reduce this head of damages on the principles discussed in Athey v. Leonati et al (supra).
