What is the test for just cause in a wrongful dismissal action?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Connor v. Q’wemtsin Health Society (No. 2), 2014 BCHRT 231 (CanLII):

As noted by the Tribunal in Trevitt v. Blanche Equipment Rentals, 2005 BCHRT 236, at para. 6, in order to succeed in an action for wrongful dismissal, a complainant need not show that the alleged dismissal was discriminatory; he or she need only show that the termination was without just cause. These are two very different concepts.
