Is there a reasonable prospect of success in a discrimination claim brought by an employee who believes that he was not hired because of his age and/or place origin?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Dayal v. D-Wave Systems, 2014 BCHRT 196 (CanLII):

While the Complainant may sincerely believe that he was not hired because of his age and/or place origin, his belief about not being treated fairly is insufficient for a finding that there is a reasonable prospect that his complaint of discrimination will succeed: Esti v. Vancouver (City), 2006 BCHRT 268. There is simply nothing in the materials to take these allegations out of the realm of conjecture.
