What is the effect of the Court of Appeal's report on the exclusion of the widow from management of a medical equipment manufacturer?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from Stewart v. Eureka tool steel welding products Ltd., 2002 CanLII 20154 (ON SC):

The facts before me are quite similar to those in Daniels v. Fielder (1988) 65 O.R. (2d) p. 629. At page 6 of the report, Mr. Justice Eberle states: The company has continued to operate with reasonable financial success. The real problem that has arisen is that the widow has been deliberately excluded from participation and management. In my view, that amounts to oppression and I must consider what further remedy, if any, is appropriate for it.
