What is the test for a claim for adjustment of duties within a household?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Wolford v Shlakoff, 2017 BCSC 2043 (CanLII):

The claim for compensation under this head of damage must be scrutinized carefully. A relatively minor adjustment of duties within a household will not justify a discrete award under this head of damages. The court should ask whether the services went above and beyond the ordinary give and take to be expected in a home and were required by the plaintiff's injuries or would have been performed in any event: Tabet v. Hatzis, 2013 BCSC 1167 at para. 79.
