With respect to the children’s connection to extended family such as grandparents and aunts and uncles, it is observed that in the modern world change is inevitable and it is not uncommon for persons and families to relocate with their children in order to pursue employment and other opportunities. I may take judicial notice that it is not unusual even in intact families for children to live at great distances from their grandparents and extended families. We exist in a far more mobile society. Work demands often require families to move; some require one parent to work in a community apart from where the family lives.
