What are the main bases for entitlement to spousal support?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from C.R. v. P.R., 2014 ONSC 5383 (CanLII):

There are three bases for entitlement to spousal support: compensatory, non-compensatory and contractual (see Bracklow v. Bracklow 1999 CanLII 715 (SCC), [1999] SCJ No. 14). In this case only the compensatory and non-compensatory spousal support models arise on the evidence before me.
