When the Agreement was negotiated, both parties anticipated that the wife would soon return to teaching. Based on her prior experience in obtaining teaching positions, she expected to shortly obtain a full-time position. Unlike the situation in Camp v. Camp, 2006 BCSC 608, self-sufficiency was a practical and realistic goal. Spousal support was for a fixed term and not subject to reduction if the wife obtained employment.
