What is the standard of reasonableness for damages for a bed, pillows and massage therapy?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Moody v Hejdanek, 2018 BCSC 380 (CanLII):

Special damages are subject only to a standard of reasonableness but some evidence of medical justification is required as a factor going to reasonableness (Redl v. Sellin, 2013 BCSC 581, at para. 55). In the subject case I am unable to find a medical justification for the claim for the bed, pillows and massage therapy.
