What is the test for producing personal information from a social media site?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Dosanjh v. Leblanc and St. Paul’s Hospital, 2011 BCSC 1660 (CanLII):

The defendant submits that information contained on social media sites can have significant probative value and should be produced. As well, the defendant submits that given the plaintiff’s claims of anxiety, depression, fatigue, damage to her self esteem and impairment of her ability to work, information posted on her social media site ought to be produced. The defendant cites Bishop v. Minichiello, 2009 BCSC 358 in support of this submission.
