There are cases in which the circumstances are such that a shotgun sale has been found to be inappropriate – for example, where there is concern that one party may make an offer based on an inflated price, thereby potentially complicating the financing and frustrating the sales process: see Mostyn v. Schmiing, 2011 BCSC 275 [Mostyn].
