What is the appropriate sentence for an individual?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from R. v Khan, 2015 ONSC 4325 (CanLII):

It appears clear from each case that sentencing an individual is a case specific exercise considering the circumstances of the offences and the offender. There is no such thing as a uniformed sentence for a particular crime (see: Regina v. L.M., [2008] S.C.C. 31 at para. 36).
