No information is accorded a higher standard in privacy law than a person’s medical files. The information contained in these files is highly personal and should not be revealed to an excluded or disgruntled relative so that they may conduct a fishing expedition to attempt to bolster a case for which they have no real evidence: Seepa v. Seepa, at para. 28.
