Sarah Labrecque must be compensated for the pain and suffering that has resulted from her injuries arising out of the accident. The purpose of non-pecuniary general damages is to compensate for the loss of amenities of life, physical and mental pain and suffering, disfigurement and the loss of expectation of life.
