In Robinson v. Robinson and Merlocco, [1942] O.W.N. 410 (H.C.J.), Hope J. said (at page 410): It is quite true that nothing can be scandalous which is relevant … and the test is whether the matter alleged to be scandalous would be admissible to show the truth of any allegation material to the relief prayed.
