A resignation is effected if, in all the circumstances, the employee’s words or conduct would lead a reasonable person in the employer’s position to understand that the employee has resigned: Assouline v. Ogivar Inc. (1991), 39 C.C.E.L. 100 at paras. 10-11 (B.C.S.C.).
