What is the test for “Good faith” on the part of the police?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from R. v. Ogbaldet, 2010 ONCJ 477 (CanLII):

[76] As noted in Regina v. Grant at para. 75: “Good faith” on the part of the police will also reduce the need for the court to disassociate itself from the police conduct. However, ignorance of Charter standards must not be rewarded or encouraged and negligence or wilful blindness cannot be equated with good faith.”
