What is the impact of errors in judgment on a professional?

Alberta, Canada

The following excerpt is from Trizec Equities Ltd. v. Ellis-Don Management Services Ltd., 1998 ABQB 1133 (CanLII):

In exercising his or her judgment, a professional may make incorrect decisions or arrive at conclusions which are in error. Errors in judgment are not necessarily negligent. What must be assessed is whether the judgment was exercised reasonably and on an informed basis (see, for example, Whitehouse v. Jordan, [1981] 1 All E.R. 267 (U.K. H.L.)).
