I disagree. While as a general rule a determination of professional negligence requires expert evidence, external indicators of reasonable conduct, such as custom, industry practice, and statutory or regulatory standard, may be used to discover the standard: Krawchuk v. Scherbak, 2011 ONCA 352 at paras 131-132.
