A presumption of resulting trust applies not only to purchase or transfer of property but can also apply to post-purchase reduction of liabilities associated with the purchase or transfer of the property, such as paying down mortgages or lines of credit: see Nanton v. Julien, 2019 ONSC 68, at para. 26.
