What is the effect on parenting time between the respondent and the respondent?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from G.K.D. v C.S.D, 2021 BCSC 367 (CanLII):

The respondent’s parenting time will continue to be supervised indefinitely. Both parties noted that such a term is unusual. The general rule is that children have the right to know and to develop a relationship with each parent. However, the rule necessarily gives way where the children’s best interests are better served otherwise: Young v. Young 1993 CanLII 34 (SCC), [1993], 4 SCR 3 at 120; B.G.M.S. v. J.E.B., 2018 BCSC 1628 at para. 152.
