What is the test for having maximum access to a child?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from I.L.P. v. S.C., 2019 ONCJ 2 (CanLII):

[86] A child should have maximum contact with both parents if it is consistent with the child’s best interests. See: Gordon v. Goertz, 1996 CanLII 191 (SCC), [1996] 2 S.C.R. 27. This is the court’s guiding principle in determining the father’s access.
