In Brito v. Woolley, 2001 BCSC 1184, a family practitioner whose practice included obstetrics was qualified to give an opinion regarding nursing care in recognition that there is an interdependent relationship between doctors and nurses in the delivery of babies and because the doctor had been on the quality assurance committee that reviewed all aspects of care, including nursing.
