How have courts treated soft tissue injuries to the right fourth distal interphalangeal joint of the right hand?

Prince Edward Island, Canada

The following excerpt is from Carr-McNeill v. Cape D’Or et al., 2020 PESC 5 (CanLII):

In Church v. Myers, 1998 CarswellBC 1598, the plaintiff was diagnosed as having sustained a soft tissue injury of the right fourth distal interphalangeal joint of her right hand ring finger. She also sustained a collateral ligament injury to the joint which has healed with a slight deformity. She was left with a mild deformity so that there is about ten degrees less mobility when compared to the same joint on her left hand.
