What is the range of damages for a plaintiff who was injured in a motor vehicle accident?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Jantzi v Moore, 2020 BCSC 1489 (CanLII):

The plaintiff is entitled to be returned to the position she was in had the accident not occurred. The court must attempt to assure full compensation through the provision of adequate future care required as a result of the collision. Such an award should be based on what is reasonably necessary on the medical evidence to promote the plaintiff’s mental and physical health: Milina v. Bartsch (1985), 1985 CanLII 179 (BC SC), 49 B.C.L.R. (2d) 33 (S.C.). The costs must also be reasonable.
