Does a sabbatical constitute a separate entitlement to wages and benefits?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Lewis v. PMC-Sierra Ltd., 2007 BCSC 1611 (CanLII):

Even if the plaintiffs, or one of them, was eligible for this sabbatical during the period of notice, the sabbatical gave no separate entitlement to wages and benefits. As the plaintiffs have been given their salaries and benefits during the period of notice, no loss has been sustained. See Hadjis v. Morningstar Research Inc., 2006 O.J. 1417. Medical Benefits
