The plaintiffs further submit that under a claim in negligent entrustment, liability can be established with respect to a person who supplies an item, here a motor vehicle, to another person who the supplier knows or ought to know because of youth, incompetence or otherwise, will use that item to cause harm to others (see Palmquist v.
