Is there any case law where evidence of hardship must be particularized?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Aviawest Resorts Inc. et al. v. Memory Lane Developments Inc. et al, 2004 BCSC 999 (CanLII):

The plaintiff relies on the authority of Kwan v. Kwan, [1992] WDFL 655 for the proposition that evidence of hardship must be particularized. It do not think that is a controversial proposition. The question is whether in the circumstances of this case the above statement is sufficient particularization.
