How much of a spouse's income can she expect to lose her husband's support?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Peacock (Guardian ad litem of), 1999 CanLII 5720 (BC SC):

In measuring this loss, the court should consider the "net" income of the deceased, making an appropriate allowance for any contingencies that might have resulted in the premature loss of the deceased's support (Keizer v. Hanna et al (1978), 1978 CanLII 28 (SCC), 82 D.L.R. (3d) 449 (S.C.C.)).
